A rare and exquisite maritime artifact, a combined set of a Waterbury clock and weather barometer, resplendent upon a verdigris bronze base. This nautical ensemble, likely from the early 20th century, encapsulates the spirit of an era when craftsmanship and functionality sailed in unison. The clock, brandished with the esteemed 'Waterbury' name, features a classic analog display with Roman numerals marking the hours. The aged face of the clock adds a touch of antiquity and charm, while the precise Waterbury movement ensures continued reliability. Encased in a brass ring and adorned with bulbous accents, the timepiece evokes the design of a ship's helm. Beside it, the weather barometer, an essential tool for any seafarer, is equally showcased within a brass ring and helm-inspired design. With its vintage patina, the barometer's face is meticulously labeled to measure atmospheric pressure, offering insights into impending weather conditions with the indications: "Stormy," "Rain," "Change," "Fair," and "Very Dry." Condition Report: The clock and barometer set appears to maintain good vintage condition, with signs of wear commensurate with age. The mechanisms have not been tested for functionality. The bronze base exhibits a natural verdigris patina. Prospective bidders should note that the items are sold 'as is.'
