Part of 10/29 Lani Rd Kapahi (KAUAI) Personal Property Auction (timed auction by Malama Auctions & Realty)

High bid $55.00

Status: Sold

The stag shoulder mount taxidermy features a majestic deer, expertly preserved and mounted for display. When the mount was removed from the wall, it appears the subject has been made fragile with age. A piece has fallen off near the right side of the snout. The stag’s large, sweeping antlers are the focal point, branching out with intricate detail and symmetry, each tine carefully crafted to capture the natural grandeur of the animal. The hide is preserved with lifelike realism, showcasing the deep brown tones of the fur, blending with lighter shades. Its eyes are set with precision, offering a glassy, alert expression, as though the stag is gazing into the wild. The mount makes it a striking and proud addition to any cabin, lodge, or nature-inspired interior. This piece was acquired from Big Game hunter John Vogt of Kilauea.
