For aviation enthusiasts, collectors, or anyone interested in mid-century navigational tools, this is a fantastic find! This lot includes a Kane MK-6B Dead Reckoning Computer with its original 1958 instruction manual titled "On Course the Kane Way". The computer is manufactured by Kane Aero Company, with a copyright date of 1957 on the device. Includes rotating dials, fuel/oil/time/distance calculations, altitude correction, and drift charts — all designed to aid in manual navigation. Comes with the original instruction booklet, which includes illustrated instructions and practice problems. The computer appears to be in excellent condition, mounted on a grid plotting board, and enclosed in a leather-style case (see photos for condition). Manual shows typical age-related wear but remains fully legible and intact. An excellent piece of aviation history — perfect for display or as a functional reference for vintage aircraft fans.
