For admirers of traditional hand-carved art, this beautifully detailed fisherman figurine is a wonderful addition to any collection. Crafted from boxwood and marked "Taiwan" on the base, this piece showcases a serene, smiling fisherman proudly holding a large fish. The craftsmanship highlights the texture of the basket, robe, and facial features with care and character. This figurine stands approximately 12" tall and is carved from a single piece of wood, including the integrated base that resembles a rocky riverbank. Please note: there is a small crack in the foot (visible in photos), consistent with age and material. A lovely example of folk artistry perfect for collectors of carved wood, Asian art, or those who appreciate finely detailed decorative pieces. Refer to photos for full condition and design details.
