Part of 06/17 Poipu Makanui Part One (Kauai) Vintage World Treasures Auction (timed auction by Malama Auctions & Realty)

High bid $9.00

Status: Sold

This powerful and imaginative hand-carved figure stands approximately 21.5" tall and features a stylized female form integrated with or grasped by an elongated, serpentine or bird-like creature. The figure’s bold, abstract design and expressive posture are complemented by etched detailing and a weathered, aged patina. The sculpture may reference mythological or symbolic themes, often found in tribal or ethnographic art traditions. A faded label is present on the base, but its text is no longer legible—please see photos for full details and condition. An intriguing and conversation-starting piece perfect for collectors of global folk art, spiritual figures, or carved wooden sculptures.
