18" Tahitian colored mother of pearl with white mother of pearl slabs thats been damaged. Most pieces still in good condition. Decorative flower pendant is also mother of pearl.These fresh water pearls are made from Mother of Pearls. "Mother of Pearls" is the scraping of the interior wall/lining of oyster/mollusk called nacre to make pearls and jewelry faster. Real pearls are made out of same nacre which takes months to years to form inside a clam/oyster. Mother of pearl process is much faster
