Hand-thrown ceramic lidded jar featuring an off-white speckled glaze and expressive blue and indigo floral brush decoration. The rounded body form sits on a defined foot ring and is topped with a fitted lid incorporating a sculpted knob finial. The decoration consists of elongated leaves and stylized blossoms rendered in layered cobalt and violet tones, characteristic of mid-to-late 20th century studio pottery aesthetics. The surface displays visible throwing rings, confirming wheel-thrown construction, and the interior is fully glazed. The base is unglazed with exposed stoneware clay, typical of studio-fired functional pottery. Markings: Maker’s mark or signature on underside. Base shows kiln and firing marks consistent with handmade production.
