A beautifully decorated Limoges porcelain cabinet plate featuring a finely detailed hand-painted scene of a pheasant in a natural landscape, accompanied by a second bird in the background. The central artwork displays rich coloration and delicate brushwork, highlighting the vibrant plumage of the pheasant against a softly rendered countryside setting. The plate is surrounded by an elegant raised gold decorative border, a classic feature of fine Limoges porcelain, composed of intricate repeating foliate motifs that frame the painted scene. The warm gilding contrasts beautifully with the white porcelain body, giving the piece an elegant presentation suitable for display. The reverse bears the mark “Limoges France,” identifying the plate as originating from the renowned Limoges porcelain region of France, internationally celebrated since the 18th century for producing some of the world’s finest hard-paste porcelain. Pieces from Limoges are known for their refined porcelain body, hand decoration, and fine gilded details, making them highly desirable among collectors.
