Status: Sold

An elegant cranberry glass cruet or condiment set presented in an ornate metal stand featuring decorative figural detailing and a central carrying handle. The set includes two tall stoppered bottles and three smaller lidded containers, all crafted from richly colored cranberry glass and accented with etched starburst decoration. Each of the taller bottles is fitted with a faceted crystal-style glass stopper, while the smaller vessels feature matching cranberry glass lids. The pieces are arranged in a decorative metal frame designed for tabletop service and display. Cruet sets such as this were commonly used on dining tables during the Victorian and early 20th-century periods to hold condiments such as oil, vinegar, mustard, spices, and sauces. The ornate stand allowed the entire set to be easily carried and presented during meals. Cranberry glass—sometimes referred to as ruby glass—is known for its distinctive pink-to-deep-red color produced by adding small amounts of gold salts during the glassmaking process. These pieces became especially popular in decorative tableware and serveware from the late 19th century through the early 20th century.
