A framed commemorative Kaua‘i Museum poster celebrating “30 Years Celebrating Our Heritage – 1960–1990.” The poster features a reproduction of a well-known Hawaiian artwork by Theodore Wores, depicting a young Hawaiian woman seated indoors weaving lauhala (pandanus leaves), a traditional craft practiced throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Rendered in soft blue tones, the image highlights the quiet dignity of everyday Hawaiian life and craftsmanship. Wores’ works are notable for their respectful portrayals of Hawaiian subjects and were widely reproduced for educational and cultural institutions across Hawai‘i. The poster was produced as part of the Kaua‘i Museum’s anniversary celebration, commemorating three decades of preserving and sharing the history, art, and cultural heritage of the Garden Isle. The museum, located in Līhu‘e, Kaua‘i, has long served as one of the island’s primary cultural institutions dedicated to Hawaiian history and local traditions. The piece is attractively presented in a wood frame and would make a meaningful addition for collectors of Hawaiiana, museum exhibition posters, and Kaua‘i historical memorabilia.
