Vintage Reuge music box crafted in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland, housed in a finely made wooden case with hinged lid. Reuge is one of the most respected Swiss makers of mechanical music boxes, renowned for precision engineering and high-quality musical mechanisms. Inside, the music box features a brass cylinder and comb mechanism, visible when the lid is opened. The interior lid retains the original decorative song label from Reuge Music Switzerland, listing the tunes included on the cylinder: Lara’s Theme — Maurice Jarre Edelweiss — Richard Rodgers The underside is marked “Made in Switzerland” and includes retailer or distributor labels. The box operates via a traditional key-wind mechanical movement, allowing the cylinder to rotate and pluck the tuned metal comb to produce music.
