Vintage Reuge music box featuring a wooden case with a scenic image of the Statue of Liberty and New York City skyline displayed on the lid. The box opens to reveal a viewing window over the internal music mechanism, allowing the brass cylinder and comb movement to be seen while playing. The underside retains the original label reading “Reuge – Swiss Musical Movement” and identifies the tune as “East Side – West Side.” The music box operates via a traditional key-wind mechanical movement, with the winding key located on the underside. Reuge, based in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland, is one of the most respected makers of mechanical music boxes, known for their precision craftsmanship and high-quality musical movements. Reported to be in working condition.
