Striking three-dimensional sculptural artwork titled Pipeline by artist Brian McKinney, dated 1980 and numbered 1/12. The sculpture depicts a dramatic curling ocean wave with a miniature surfer riding inside the barrel, inspired by the famous Pipeline surf break in Hawaii. Features a heavily textured, stone-like surface with green patina and contrasting bronze-toned interior, creating the appearance of a powerful breaking wave. The sculpture is mounted within a geometric, brass-toned surround on a rectangular wooden display base. Marked “PIPELINE © 1980 1/12 BRIAN McKINNEY” with additional inscription “McKinney’s Art Casting.” Appears to be cast metal or a stone-like casting material; exact composition has not been verified.
